Uganda Land Alliance is a consortium of National and International NGOs and individuals focusing on advocacy on Land and Land Rights promotion and protecting the interests of the poor, vulnerable and marginalized groups of people and individuals through the promotion of fair laws and policies aimed at protecting their land rights. Uganda Land Alliance intends to recruit a dynamic and self driven person to fill the post of Programme Manager.

Reports to: Executive Director
Duty Station: ULA Secretariat- Kampala
Salary scale: Attractive
Contract Period: 3 years renewable
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership in terms of planning and management and ensure that the overall CO program goals are met
- Lead and Support the implementation of different projects to reach and achieve the intended objectives and outcomes in a cost effective and sustainable manner as stipulated in the different project designs
- Provide technical, administrative and programmatic support to the projects programme coordinators and other technical staff
- Develop viable linkages for advocacy, standardization and up scaling of ULA work, with governmental and non-governmental institutions and donor projects
- Engage on broader ULA programme and administration initiatives
- Review and report regularly to the Executive Director matters concerning programmes and projects progress
- Engage in fund raising initiatives for the Uganda Land alliance
- Ensure the establishment of an effective program level impact measurement, M&E and learning system.
Education and Experience
A Bachelors Degree in Development Studies, Law, Organizational Development/Psychology, with a Master’s Degree in Organizational Management, Project Planning and Management obtained from a reputable university, and a minimum of 5 years work experience, 3 of which should have been obtained at senior management level.
Good knowledge of proposal design and report writing, excellent communication skills, people management skills, excellent fund raising skills, knowledge on HIV/AIDS mainstreaming, Capacity Building, budgeting and programmes development and building networks and collaboration.
A successful candidate should also possess proven knowledge in conflict resolution and transformation, Human Rights and Family Law.
