Amuru district\r\nis located in northern Uganda¡¯s Acholi land. It shares borders with Gulu, Nwoya\r\nand Adjuman districts. Amuru is one of the districts affected by the civil war\r\norchestrated by the Lord¡¯s Resistance Army. Most people were displaced by the\r\nwar and lived in camps for nearly two decades. Gardens, homesteads and boundary\r\nmarks were destroyed during the war, making hard for returnees to resettle\r\npeacefully.
