Donations

Donations constitute the biggest percentage funding for ULA programs. Development partners support ULA to influence law reform processes at national level and deliver land rights services to ordinary citizens in 14 Uganda. Your donation will contribute towards achieving the following strategic objectives:

  • Promoting human  rights awareness and practice change in relation to womenĄŻs land rights.
  • Increasing  influence on law reform processes to ensure issues of women stand out in the  laws and policies 
  • Strengthening structures at community (micro) levels  in all program areas with Land Rights Information Centres to generate and  document best practices in legal empowerment
  • Influencing  processes and practices that improve tenure security, land use planning and  management
  • Influencing central and local  governments on principles of good governance in land administration
  • Strengthening  dispute resolution mechanisms for land disputes in Uganda
  • Strengthening  capacity of citizens to participate in decision making processes on land 
  • Influencing the  functionality of institutional and legal  framework the government has established for good land administration in Uganda to the  benefit of the poor and vulnerable
  • Influencing legal  and policy processes towards a more equitable distribution of land access and  ownership and greater tenure security for the vulnerable groups
  • Carrying out  specific studies to deepen the information needed by communities, civil  society, donors and government to improve functionality of the land  administration system
  • Increasing  influence at micro level through expanding LRIC model to other parts of Uganda 
  • Soliciting  active participation of members in initiatives and programmes to deliver  services
  • Strengthening systems of results  measurement and organisational learning
